Father's Day is nearly here!

What an incredible spell of settled weather! It appears the trend is meant to continue - fantastic for all us gardeners!

FATHER'S DAY is upon us. We've got some great ideas for your bloke...........

  • The Weed Wand (Parasene Weed Wand) - this has just arrived. Like a weed sprayer but shoots flames - no harmful chemicals, light and easy to use - great for terraces, patios, paths and the whole garden!!
  • Osmocote Lawn Fertiliser Spreader - a nifty hand held spreader (with ergonomically designed handle) for Dad to obtain the perfect lawn - plus a free bag of Lawn Builder Fertiliser!
  • Europe's Finest Wolf Tools -for lawn and garden with interconnecting handles
  • Fantastic Gloves for hard wear

AND, just a quick reminder about some of the things to do at this time of year as the warmth encourages growth - both good and not so good!

  • Lawns: You can save hours of work with a good combination food/weed product such as Osmocote Lawn Builder with weed kill or moss control. We've got heaps of other lawn products as well - fertilisers and weed control products as well as a scarifier (to get rid of all the old thatch) you can rent from us.
  • Fertilisers: Everything needs a feed! Come in and check out our Burnetts Gold and Osmocote ranges. Both release exactly what your plants need, slowly and economically. We've got fertilisers for roses, hydrangeas, rhodos, citrus, natives and potted plants as well as everything else of course!
  • Pest Control: Watch out for pests especially mealy bugs just now. Confidor or Yates Nature's Way Pyrethrum work well to control these. Confidor helps control many other pests as well.
  • Herbs: get a decent sized pot or choose a sunny place in the garden and start some coriander, French tarragon, mint and majoram, even basil if it is a warm spot.
  • Seeds: If you love to plant seeds and watch them germinate, we've got a good range of the more popular flowers and veges - sunflowers, sweetpeas, poppies, carrots, tomatoes, beetroot etc. And of course we've got the seed raising mix as well.
  • Snails: Watch the snails - they are out in force just now after the juicy shoots. We can help either with Tui Quash, which is pretty pet friendly, or with Blitzem.

Have fun and see you soon
Regards

Anne
